New Vice-Chancellor and Treasurer of IU appointed

New Vice-Chancellor and Treasurer of Islamic University (IU) have been appointed. In this, Professor Dr. M. Yaqub Ali, Department of Al-Quran and Islamic Studies, has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor and Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Department of Economics, has been appointed as Treasurer. They will serve in this role for the next 4 years.
This information was revealed in a separate notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Shahinur Islam, on Monday (December 2).
According to the notification, with the approval of the President and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. M. Yaqub Ali, Department of Al-Quran and Islamic Studies, has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor and Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Alam. They will serve this duty for the next 4 years. They will receive salaries and allowances equivalent to their current positions in suitable positions. They will exercise the powers and perform the duties prescribed by the statutes and laws of the university and given by the Vice-Chancellor. However, the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor can cancel this appointment at any time if they deem it necessary.
