Three people, including mother and son, were killed by twisting their veils

Miscreants killed three people including a mother and son by twisting veils around their necks at Homna in Comilla. They were killed sometime on Wednesday (September 4) night in their bedroom. The incident took place in Bara Ghagutia village of Ghagutia union of Homna upazila.
The deceased were Shahparan's wife Mahmuda Akhtar (35), their 9-year-old son Shahad and Shahparan's cousin's daughter Tisha (14).
Comilla Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP Homna Circle) Mir Mohsin confirmed the matter to Dhaka Post on Thursday (September 5) morning.
Locals said, Bara Ghagutia Village Md. Shahparan worked a job in Dhaka. His wife-son and one brother's daughter Tisha were sleeping on Wednesday night. At some point in the night, miscreants killed them by twisting the veil around their necks and ran away.
ASP Mir Mohsin told Dhaka Post that locals informed the police after seeing the bodies of three people in the same room on Thursday morning. After receiving the news, we came with the force and recovered the bodies. The dead bodies have injury marks on the head. They are believed to have been killed. We are investigating the incident. Preparations are underway to send the bodies to Comilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Legal action is under process in this incident.
