Wife dies after being hit by unidentified vehicle in Mirzapur, Tangail, husband in hospital

Shiuli Akhter (45) was killed after being hit by an unidentified motorcycle in Mirzapur, Tangail. Her husband Shariful Islam was seriously injured in the incident.
The accident took place in front of Mirzapur Cadet College on Dhaka-Tangail highway on Tuesday (September 17) around 11 pm.
Deceased Shiuli Akter was the wife of Shariful Islam of Chandpur district and was working as an assistant team leader in the products department of Square Pharmaceutical Limited, Mirzapur. Injured husband Shariful is working as a senior assistant fitter in the engineering department of the same company.
Mirzapur police station sub-inspector (SI) Zahurul Islam said, "They were returning home from work on a motorcycle at night. At that time, Shiuli died on the spot when an unknown vehicle hit the motorcycle in front of Mirzapur Cadet College on the highway. Her husband was seriously injured. He was rescued and admitted to the hospital.
