Demonstration rally in Ishwardi demanding the release of former UP Chairman Tuhin and other youth leaders

A protest rally was held to demand the release of jailed youth party leaders including Shariful Islam Tuhin, former general secretary of Pabna Ishwardi Upazila Jubo Dal and former chairman of Dashuria Union Parishad.
On Sunday (September 22), leaders and activists of upazila and union BNP, Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal took out a protest march from Darga Bazar High School of Ishwardi Upazila. The procession goes round the local roads and meets the assembly at the market square.
Central Sramik Dal organizing secretary Sathi Akhter, Dashuria Union BNP president Abdus Samad Sulav Malitha, Ishwardi Upazila Youth Dal member secretary Rafiqul Islam Rocky, Ishwardi Upazila BNP member Abdur Razzak, Dashuria Union convener Saiful Islam, member secretary Vipul Molla, Ishwardi Upazila spoke. Youth party member Anwar Hossain Bachchu and others.
The speakers said that in a murder case in 2003, a group hanged several youth leaders including the former chairman of Dashuria Union Parishad and popular leader Shariful Islam Tuhin. The conspirators isolated him from the common people by filing a false case. He is currently serving life sentence in the case. He has already served 20 years of his sentence. Therefore, the activists strongly demanded the interim government to release Shariful Islam Tuhin and other youth leaders quickly in the legal process. If not, they warned to continue the strict movement.
