Rajibpur Press Club President Ataur, General Secretary Sapna elected

A press club committee has been formed in Char Rajibpur of Kurigram. A general meeting was held at the office of social organization Sapna Chob Foundation under the chairmanship of Char Rajibpur Press Club convener Nurul Amin on Sunday, September 29. In the meeting, the convening committee was abolished and the committee was formed with the consent of all present. In this, senior journalist Daily Sangbad newspaper representative Md. Ataur Rahman was declared as the president and Daily Kal Kantha representative Sohel Rana Sapna was declared as the general secretary of the committee.

The other members of the committee are Nurul Amin, representative of Bhorer Kagaz as vice president, Altaf Hossain, representative of Manabzamin, Matiur Rahman, representative of Dainik Barta, as joint general secretary, Muradul Islam Murad of Asian Television, Rafiqul Islam, representative of Daily Bangladesh Samachar, as organizational editor, Rafiqul Islam, as editor of Finance and Department of Daily. First watch correspondent Mokhleshur Rahman, publicity and publication editor daily newspaper correspondent A S Hasan, Daily Chardi correspondent Saiful Islam and Sylhet Bhor correspondent Arif Mahmud were elected as general members.

In the meeting, the speakers discussed various contemporary issues of the press club members for the welfare of the media workers. Apart from this, the journalists expressed their commitment to play a role in the welfare of the people and the development of the society. Besides, several decisions were taken for the development of the press club in the meeting.
