All the rivers flowing through Tangail district are rising again. All the rivers in Tangail have risen due to the flow coming down from the north. However, it is still flowing below the boundary line. According to the information provided by the District Water Development Board, the water in the rivers of the district is increasing every day from last Wednesday (September 25) to Monday (September 30).
According to the information provided by Tangail Water Development Board at 9 am on Tuesday (October 1), in the last 24 hours, the water level of Jhenai river was 68 cm at Jokarchar point, the water level of Dhaleswari river was 42 cm at Elasin point, the water level of Brahmaputra-Yamuna river was 20 cm at Porabari point, and the water level of Fatikjani river was 10 cm at Nalchapa point. , the water level of Banshai river has increased by 3 cm at Kauljani point and 14 cm at Madhupur point. Due to the sudden increase in the river water, the people of Char area are once again afraid of flood.

North tides are usually transient, so there is no risk of flooding even if the water rises. The rise in river water is being monitored every moment. He said that if the river breaks in any part of the district, immediate action will be taken as an emergency service.
