International Day of Disaster Mitigation celebrated in Chilmari

International Disaster Mitigation Day was celebrated at Chilmari, Kurigram, with the motto "Empowering the next generation to build a resilient future".
A discussion meeting, rally and disaster response exercise were held on Sunday (13 October) morning to mark International Disaster Mitigation Day.
Organized by the Upazila Administration and Disaster Management Department, the rally took place in front of the Upazila Parishad.
A discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad hall room under the chairmanship of Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Md. Mosharraf Hossain. Upazila Executive Officer UNO (Acting) Naeem Uddin, Chilmari Union Parishad Chairman Mo Aminul Islam, Chilmari Press Club President Nazrul Islam Sabu, Press Club Chilmari President Monirul Islam Leetu, Journalist Nazmul Huda Parvez and others spoke. Later, earthquake, fire and lightning drills were held.
