2 people died due to excessive drinking in Bhangura; Sick 3

2 people died due to excessive alcohol consumption in Charbhangura village of Bhangura upazila in Pabna. In this incident, three more people were admitted to the hospital.
They died on Monday (October 14) night. The two deceased are Rabin Ghosh (25) son of Ramchandra Ghosh of Char Bhangura village of the upazila and Hriday Chowdhury (17) son of Manik Chowdhury. Shafiqul Islam confirmed the news of the death of two people who fell ill due to alcohol consumption.
Locals said that five youths of Ghoshpara of Charbhangura village of the upazila fell ill after drinking excessive alcohol with their friends after the Durga Puja festival. They are friends of each other.
They were first admitted to Bhangura Upazila Health Complex on Monday night. Later they were shifted to Pabna General Hospital as their condition was critical. On the way there, Hridoy Chowdhury and Robin Ghosh were declared dead by the doctor on duty after reaching the hospital.
Monday night at 11:30 a medical officer on duty at the emergency department of Bhangura Upazila Health Complex. Ujjal Hossain said, we have received news that two people died. Three seriously ill people have been referred to Pabna General Hospital.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhangura police station. Shafiqul Islam said, five people got sick after drinking alcohol. Two of them died. The police have reached the spot and are preparing the body's condition. Legal action is pending.
