Human chain to prevent Dudhkumar river from breaking in Kurigram

Residents formed a human chain in Char Dhaurarkuti area of Andharijhar Union of Bhurungari Upazila of Kurigram to prevent the breach of Dudhkumar river. Hundreds of people participated in this human chain in Chadni Bazaar area on the east bank of Dudhkumar river on Wednesday afternoon.
Andharijhar UP Chairman Javed Ali Mondal, Union BNP President Abul Kalam Azad, Jubo Dal leader Saidul Islam and others spoke on the occasion. Speakers claimed that although the erosion of Dudhkumar river is going on, the previous government has not taken any measures to prevent it. They demanded immediate action to prevent the collapse.
