The party's central organizing secretary Shama Obayed Islam (Rinku) has commented that there is no place for extortionists or usurpers in BNP.
At a discussion meeting and prayer meeting organized in Jadunandi Union of Saltha Upazila of Faridpur on Friday (August 15) afternoon, he said, "Bangladesh needs reforms. Because the Awami League has destroyed all democratic and constitutional institutions. That reform will be done by the hands of BNP. The first step is fair and impartial elections, which 180 million people of the country are waiting for."
He also said, "BNP will carry out complete reforms after being elected by the people's votes. However, there will be no place for extortionists, usurpers or wrongdoers within the party. We want a Bangladesh where human rights are established and the rights of everyone are guaranteed, regardless of religion or caste."
Leaders and activists of local BNP and allied organizations were present at the event.
