Youth Festival Celebration in Panchagarh: Rally, Discussion Meeting and Sapling Distribution

Various programs including rally, discussion meeting, sapling distribution were held on the occasion of Youth Festival celebration in Panchagarh. These programs were organized on Saturday (15 November 2025) afternoon at Jagdal Noor Akhter Government Bi-Mukhi Girls High School under the initiative of Panchagarh Environment Department and in collaboration with Sabuj Andolan Panchagarh.
As part of the day-long program, Green School Campaign, Quiz Competition, Awareness Rally and Discussion Meeting were organized. Students, teachers, representatives of environmental organizations and local dignitaries participated in these programs with the aim of increasing environmental awareness.
Panchagarh Bizhna GP, Principal of Jagdal Noor Akhter Government Bi-Mukhi Girls High School, President and General Secretary of Sabuj Andolan Panchagarh District Committee, General Secretary of Bangladesh Poribesh Andolan (BAPA) Panchagarh District Branch and many others were present on the program.
Assistant Director of Panchagarh District Office of the Department of Environment, Md. Yusuf Ali, presented a PowerPoint presentation and video on environmental awareness and addressing climate risks. The speakers said that the younger generation should come forward to protect the environment and that the spread of environmental education at the school level is the basis of real sustainable development.
At the end of the discussion, saplings provided by the Green Movement were distributed among the students. According to the organizers, such initiatives will further motivate students to protect nature and the environment and increase the involvement of the youth in future environmental movements.
