BGB's newly built Sardarpara BOP inaugurated in Panchagarh. As an important step in the border security of the country, the newly built Sardarpara BOP in the border area of Boda upazila of Panchagarh under the Nilphamari-56 BGB Battalion has been officially inaugurated.
On Tuesday (December 2) afternoon, Border Guard Bangladesh BGB's Northwest Region Region Commander Brigadier General A SM Nasheer officially inaugurated the BOP by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the nameplate in Sardarpara village of Barashshi union of the upazila. Earlier, the Region Commander received the guard of honor and hoisted the national flag. Later, he planted a tree on the BOP premises and prayed for the well-being of the country and the nation.
Later, he delivered an inaugural speech in the presence of BGB members present. Brigadier General A SM Nasher said, BGB members have been performing their duties to protect the country's borders day and night in hostile environments. Along with border security, we expect everyone's cooperation by providing objective information. I am hopeful that the cooperation of local people, journalists and civil society will continue in the future as well.
He further said that with the launch of this new BOP, activities to prevent smuggling, drug trafficking, women and children trafficking and illegal infiltration in the border areas will be strengthened. At the same time, he expressed hope that it will play an important role in ensuring peaceful coexistence in the border areas.
Those concerned believe that a new chapter has begun in border security with the inauguration of the newly built Sardarpara BOP.
