In the 'Long March to Dhaka' program of the anti-discrimination student movement, students and people came down at the mouth of Shahbagh. Meanwhile, Asif Mahmood, coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement, asked everyone to come to Shahbagh. He announced this after 2 pm on Monday (August 5).
Asif Mahmud said, "Everyone come to Shahbagh, the central assembly will be held."
We do not accept any kind of military rule. The public announcement will be made from the central assembly.
Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman will address the nation on the ongoing situation in the country. After knowing this, people burst into victory.
Army chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman is said to be meeting with leaders of various political parties and dignitaries at the army headquarters.
A meeting is going on at the army headquarters on Monday (August 5). Asif Nazrul, professor of Law Department of Central Dhaka University, is said to have been invited to this meeting with the Chief of Army Staff, General Waqar-uz-Zaman. Senior Co-Chairman of Jatiya Party Anisul Islam Mahmud and General Secretary of the party Mujibul Haque Chunnu have been invited to the Army Chief's meeting.
