In Naghar village of Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria, a farmer's cowshed with two cows was burnt to ashes.
On Sunday (August 18) at around 7:30 in the morning, the fire took place in the cowshed of Abdur Rahman, a farmer of Abdur Rashid dealer's house in Natghar.
Local UP Member (Member) Md. Humayun confirmed this.

Abdur Rahman's cousin said about the affected family. Khorshed Alam told Dhaka Post that this morning, ashes were brought from the kitchen with Uda (bamboo pot) and kept in the cowshed to clean the cow dung. Initially, it is believed that the jute kept in the cowshed caught fire from the ashes. Soon the fire spread throughout the house. In addition to jute in the cowshed, there was also a lot of jute, wood, rice, and cash in rice containers. Locals managed to put out the fire in an hour but by then the entire cowshed including two cows was burnt to ashes. The fire caused a loss of around 8 lakh rupees. The farmer family has become helpless.
Local drug dealer Rubel Ahmed told Dhaka Post that the family was hoping to see the face of prosperity through two cows. But that dream was instantly destroyed in the fire. I humbly request the local administration to stand by the family affected by the fire.

When contacted Nabinagar Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Tanvir Farhad Shamim told Dhaka Post that he came to know about the matter through you. I will take appropriate action after finding out about this.
