Mohammad Ullah accused of spreading false information in Narail

Published: 11:49 22 October 2025
Mohammad Ullah, a resident of Ward No. 5 of Narail Sadar Municipality, has accused various online portals and newspapers of publishing news in a false context, saying that some land grabbers identified against him are involved in a conspiracy. He claimed that the news was published without verifying the truth and the allegations made against him in it are not acceptable.
Ullah said that the documents of the 0.0487 percent land in Uzirpur Mouza No. 100 of Narail are complete. He described the records of the technocal and registry documents and said that on September 23, 2024, as per the Kobla Document No. 6376 (land area 0.087 percent) and on December 31, 2024, as per Kobla Document No. 8924 (land area 0.04 percent), he purchased the said land at market price and registered it from the Narail Sadar Sub Registry Office. Later, on 8 October 2024 and 14 January 2025, he registered 0.0487 percent of the land in his own name by making separate applications for registration—he also mentioned the Khatian and Dag numbers.
He further stated that he had paid the rent of the said land till 17 February 2025 and had not cut any tree on the land he had purchased on anyone else's land. Mohammad Ullah claimed that a person named Alok Kundu of Kurigram played a major role in the conspiracy behind spreading these false news. He said that Alok Kundu fraudulently forged the name of a person named Tapan Kumar Biswas of Dhopa Khola village and seized 40 percent of the land on 12 February 2020 on the basis of a document—although the accused Tapan Kumar has been living in India for a long time. At that time, the incident was shown in regional newspapers and media; but Mohammad Ullah alleged that the accused escaped due to abuse of power.
He requested the journalists, “Before publishing the news against me, I should have been given a proper investigation and opportunity to defend myself. I have all the land documents; anyone can see them if they wish.”
Regarding some of the insults and allegations used in the news, Mohammad Ullah reiterated that he had not forcibly occupied anyone’s land, and if any party is affected, he can file a claim through legal channels. He also requested the local journalists to report accurate and objective news.
