The date for submitting the further investigation report in the murder case of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Shahid Sharif Osman bin Hadi has been postponed again. This has changed the time for submitting the report for a total of 17 times.
The CID was scheduled to submit the report to the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam on Sunday (June 28), but the investigation agency could not submit it. Later, the court set a new date of July 15.
Sources concerned said that the submission of the report has been delayed for a long time due to lack of progress in the investigation of the case. Although the court has given a new time in this regard, questions are being raised about the progress of the investigation.
Earlier, on December 12, Osman Hadi was shot in the Paltan area of the capital. Later, he was taken to the hospital in a serious condition and sent to Singapore for advanced treatment, where he died on December 18.
An attempt to murder case was filed after the incident, which later turned into a murder case after his death. After the investigation, the DB police filed a charge sheet against 17 people, but later, on the orders of the court, the CID was given the responsibility of further investigation.
