Police recovered two bodies including a housewife from two separate places in Sripur, Gazipur in a single day. On Thursday (August 20), the body of a housewife named Mosha. Shanta Akter (25) was recovered from Satkhamair area of Barmi union of the upazila. On the same day, the body of a person named Palash (35), who died after being electrocuted, was recovered from Gusinga area.
Police and locals said that locals informed the police after seeing a body lying in Satkhamair area. Later, the police went to the spot and recovered the body. The deceased has been identified as Shanta Akter.
On the other hand, Palash died after being electrocuted in Gusinga area. On receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered his body. According to local sources, Palash belongs to the Hindu community.
The actual cause of death in the two separate incidents could not be immediately confirmed. Sreepur Model Police Station OC Shahinur Alam said that the two bodies were recovered after receiving information. Details about the actual cause of death will be known after the investigation.
