Anti-discrimination students raided the ward master's room at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. At that time, the students arrested five people from the room with liquor bottles and police seals. They were later handed over to Ansar members.
On Thursday (August 15) afternoon, the students raided the room of Ward Master Riaz Uddin and Zillur Rahman of the Emergency Department of DMK.
In the raid, bottles of liquor, seals of police cases, sharp weapons, visiting cards of private hospitals, visiting cards of residential hotels and lists of various political parties including Chhatra League were seized from Ward Master Riaz's room. Besides, Ward Master Zillur Rahman has been accused of offering work opportunities in the hospital by taking large sums of money from various people.

A student who conducted the campaign said, "We have received information that those who come to the emergency department for medical treatment were subjected to various forms of harassment. To confirm the authenticity of those, we conducted an operation in the room of Ward Master Riaz Uddin of the Emergency Department. He (Riyaz) admitted that he sent them to various ICUs and took Tk 1,000 from each patient.
The students complained that why would liquor bottles be found in his (Riaz) room. He is not a doctor, why can he get a seal in the police case. Why is it possible to find a list of different names including various illegal Chhatra Leagues and organ organizations? Why would he have various things with him, including cards of various private hospitals, visiting cards of residential hotels.
At this time, two of his associates were arrested and taken to the director's room. They were later handed over to Ansar members under the direction of the director.
Another student said that Zillur Rahman, the ward master of the new building, was also arrested in the administrative block on the charge that he took Tk 3 lakh from various people and hired him. He later confessed to taking the money and was later handed over to Ansar members. Besides, one more person was arrested from the new building.

The students demanded a proper investigation of the allegations by the director and demanded legal action including their dismissal.
Later the hospital director spoke to the students in the conference room. He told the students, submit the things you have recovered from them to us, we will form a committee and take action against them. We will take the necessary action against them as per the rules.
