Amitabh Bachchan is selling his house!

The news of Bollywood's Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan selling his house is now the center of attention. Popular media outlet 'Hindustan Times' reported that Big B's duplex house 'Atlantis Bhavan' located in Andheri area of Mumbai has been sold for Rs 83 crore. In Bangladeshi currency, this is more than Rs 116 crore.
According to the property registration documents, the carpet area of the house is 5,185 square feet and it has six parking spaces. The house sale agreement was registered on January 17, 2024, where stamp duty of Rs 4.98 crore and registration fee of Rs 30,000 were spent.
Amitabh Bachchan bought this house for Rs 31 crore in April 2021. It is currently sold for Rs 83 crore, which is about 168 percent more than the purchase price.
Earlier, in November 2021, Amitabh had rented this house to actress Kriti Sanon. The monthly rent was Rs 10 lakh and she had to pay Rs 60 lakh as a security deposit.
The Bachchan family is in talks about real estate investments. Between 2020 and 2024, they have invested around Rs 200 crore in real estate. According to Square Yards, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan together have made their real estate portfolio worth more than Rs 200 crore.
Amitabh Bachchan is still maintaining his magic on the KBC stage. Some peace has returned to the Bachchan family in their personal life too. Some previous problems between Abhishek and daughter-in-law Aishwarya have been resolved. However, the news of selling this huge house has created a new discussion in the Bollywood neighborhood.
