Currently, times are not going well for actor Saif Ali Khan and his family. A few days ago, Saif was attacked at his house and after 6 days of treatment in the hospital, he returned home. However, a new problem has arisen as soon as he returned home.
In Madhya Pradesh, the Pataudi family's property worth Rs 15,000 crore may now come under the control of the central government. Recently, the court lifted the stay order on the property, due to which Saif's family may lose a huge amount of property.
According to reports published in the Indian media, a stay order was given on the decision to acquire this property in 2015. However, the state High Court recently lifted it. Justice Vivek Agarwal said that the Centre can claim the property within 30 days under the amended Enemy Property Act, 2017.
On December 13, 2024, the single bench of the High Court asked the Pataudi family to present their statements. However, it is not clear whether they have taken any decision even after more than a month. The Bhopal district administration is not willing to comment on the matter.
In 2015, the Enemy Property Department in Mumbai declared that the land of the Nawab of Bhopal is government property. Soon after, the Pataudi family approached the court and claimed that the Flag Staff House in Bhopal and Raisen, Ahmedabad Palace, the Kothi in Raisen and the adjoining forests are their property. However, due to the Enemy Property Act, they may now lose these properties.
In 2019, the court said that Sajida Sultan is the legal heir of the property and her grandson Saif Ali Khan has a share. However, after Abida moved to Pakistan, the government claimed it as enemy property. Now, after the stay order was lifted, a new trouble has arisen over the ownership of this property.
