One of the most important decisions in Shah Rukh Khan's career was to repeatedly turn down a movie offer. In the mid-nineties, when he was a top star in Bollywood, he received an offer to act in a romantic movie from a big production house. But Shah Rukh Khan rejected that offer four times.
This movie, produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, was 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', directed by Aditya Chopra. Although Shah Rukh Khan initially rejected the acting offer, he finally agreed to play the role of Raj. This movie, released on October 20, 1995, was the right decision. The movie was a blockbuster hit at the box office, earning around Rs 200 crore.
Also, Shah Rukh and Kajol's chemistry won the hearts of movie lovers. Among their impeccable performances, the song 'Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna', which is still played at weddings, was particularly eye-catching.
The success of this film has become one of the milestones in the careers of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, and it has proven that sometimes the decision made early can be the most correct one later.
