Singer Nobel locked Eden student at home and raped her!

Mainul Ahsan Nobel, who once won the hearts of millions of young people with the song 'Tomay Hrid Majhare Rakhbo', is now a subject of condemnation across the country. Not a singer, he is now an accused rapist - he secretly locked a student for seven months and subjected her to brutal sexual and physical abuse. The capital's Demra Police Station arrested him on Monday night.
That girl - a student of Eden College - never thought that the man she loved and trusted would cut her off from the world. Nobel trapped her in a room, raped her day after day, mentally broke her. He even filmed her secret moments and intimidated her into silence.
The most tragic thing is that the incident came to light through a viral video - where Nobel is seen forcibly dragging a woman down the stairs. Seeing this video, the girl's family rushed to Dhaka from Tangail. Then they called 999 and informed the police. The police conducted a raid that night and rescued her.
Demra Police Station OC Mahmudur Rahman said that Nobel was preparing to flee the country at the time of his arrest. He had rented a microbus. He was caught around 2 am with the help of technology.
This incident is not an isolated incident. Those who have seen Nobel closely know that his history of controversy is long. His family broke up due to drug addiction in 2019. He was arrested in 2023 on charges of fraud. Canceling concerts, embezzling money, arrogance - all are familiar words to his name.
But this time the allegations have overshadowed everything. Traps in the name of love, rape day after day, blackmail through videos - if anyone talks about him as an artist after such allegations, it is shameful for this society.
Those who once were proud to see him, today their faces are filled with sadness whenever they hear his name. Especially the young woman whose life was shattered by this artist—it is our responsibility to stand by her now.
Nobel has been produced in court. The police have applied for remand. The law will now take its course.
And the people? They are asking the question— “Does being a star give you immunity?”
No, you don’t. You shouldn’t.
