Purnima returns with documentary ‘Fight for Existence’

Popular actress Purnima of Dhakai cinema has taken part in a new awareness documentary. This documentary titled ‘Fight for Existence’ will highlight the horrors of climate change and natural disasters.
Although she has been irregular in acting for a long time, this time the actress has joined a social awareness project. It is learned that the documentary was made by director Gazi Mahbub focusing on the terrible Bhola disaster of 1970 and the current climate crisis.
Its shooting was recently completed at the FDC in the capital. Regarding working on the documentary, Purnima said that she joined this initiative to raise people’s awareness and is always interested in being a part of positive work.
Sohrab Labu is planning and writing this documentary made for the Manabsur Unnayan Sangstha. It will bring up the tragic memories of the historical Bhola disaster and the current challenges of Bangladesh due to climate change.
The documentary also stars Kazi Hayat, Shiba Shanu, Tanha Tasnia, Shirin Shila, Mou Khan and Joy Chowdhury, among others.
According to the makers, the documentary will be screened at various awareness programs to create a climate-resilient Bangladesh. There are also plans to release it online.
