Alia and Ranbir’s initiative to renovate 20 Mumbai schools on Modi’s birthday

Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have stepped forward to improve the infrastructure of 20 schools in Mumbai. The celebrity couple announced this initiative as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Service Pledge Campaign) to mark Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday.

In a social media post, Alia Bhatt stated that she and Ranbir Kapoor would assist in the renovation and development of 20 schools based on recommendations from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Their goal is to create a better educational environment equipped with improved facilities for children.

Alia and Ranbir’s special initiative for Modi’s birthday

Alia extended her greetings on social media for Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday on September 17. In the same post, she mentioned that their decision to support the development of these schools is part of their commitment to serving society through the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.

According to Alia, the objective of this initiative is to ensure a better environment and necessary facilities for children to learn and grow.

The schools will be selected based on BMC recommendations.

What is the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’?

The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is a month-long program organized by the BJP. It is scheduled to run from September 17 to October 17, 2026. The program was launched to commemorate the completion of 25 years of Narendra Modi’s public life.

Various social and public welfare activities—such as blood donation drives, healthcare services, cleanliness campaigns, and tree plantation drives—are planned under this program.

Alia and Ranbir together on the big screen too

Beyond their personal lives, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will also be seen together on screen. They are starring alongside Vicky Kaushal in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed film Love & War. The film is slated for release in 2027.

Alia and Ranbir have previously acted together in the movie Brahmastra.
