Import-export is closed at Benapole port on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja

On the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja, the import and export activities between India and Bangladesh will be closed at the Benapole-Petrapole Port of Jessore on Tuesday. However, it will be normal for passengers with passports to cross between the two countries.
President of Benapole C&F Agent Association Shamsur Rahman said, on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja, the import-export activities of Benapole-Petrapole port will be closed today. Import and export activities between the two countries will resume through this port from next Wednesday morning. However, operations will continue tomorrow Tuesday inside Benapole port and customs.
General Secretary of Petrapol Staff Welfare Association of India, Kattik Chakraborty said, on the occasion of Vishwakarma Puja in India today, import-export activities will be closed at Benapole-Petrapole port.
Md. Masudur Rahman (Super) of Checkpost Cargo Branch at Benapole Custom House said that mainly on the occasion of Bangladesh India Import Export Bishwa Karma Puja, the import and export activities of goods will be closed at Benapole-Petrapole port today.
Benapole International Checkpost Immigration Officer-in-Charge (OC) Azaharul Islam said that even if the import-export activities are stopped, the movement of passport holders between the two countries will be normal.
