According to BBS data, headline inflation rose to 11.66 percent last July. Which was 9.72 percent last June. Food inflation rose to 14.10 percent in July. Which was 10.42 percent last June. Earlier, the last highest food price inflation was in April 2011 at 14.36 percent. Since then, food inflation has never risen above 14 percent. On the other hand, inflation in the non-food sector was 9.68 percent in July. Which was 9.15 percent last June. Earlier in September 2011, overall inflation was the highest at 11.97 percent. Then inflation reached its highest level last month.
