'Pregnant' robot coming to China: Human babies will be born in the machine!

Chinese scientists are going to create a humanoid robot that will be able to carry an artificial womb and give birth to a human baby. This artificial womb will simulate the environment of a real human womb. There will be artificial amniotic fluid and a umbilical cord-like tube, which will help the baby develop.
In 2017, US researchers kept premature lambs alive in a "biobag". However, this Chinese project is moving forward with a bigger goal - to carry a human baby to full term.
Each procedure costs about 100,000 yuan, which is much cheaper than surrogacy. Interest in it as a solution to infertility problems is growing.
However, critics have warned that it could damage the emotional bond of motherhood and turn childbirth into a commercial product.
According to the reporter, in 2026, the world may see the first time a baby is born not in a woman's womb, but in a machine. Whether this will be a remarkable technological advance or a prediction of a dystopian future will depend on society's perspective.
