We usually know the success stories of the world's top entrepreneurs because of their innovative power, business vision and tireless work. But many do not know about the unknown chapter of their lives. Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison - these three great souls grew up as adopted children in their childhood. Even though they grew up in different families, they received love, inspiration and guidance. And that experience made them strong-willed, ambitious and creative.
Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs was born to Syrian student Abdulfattah Jandali and American young woman Joanne Shible. Due to family objections, Joanne adopted the newborn. When the first couple refused to have a son, he was eventually raised by working couple Paul and Clara Jobs. Jobs had a deep attachment to his adoptive parents since childhood. He considered them his real parents. The love and enthusiasm of Paul and Clara gave birth to curiosity, creativity, and the urge to do something new, which led him to the path of groundbreaking innovations at Apple and Pixar.
Jeff Bezos
Jeff Bezos's birth name was Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen. His mother, Jacqueline, gave birth to a child as a teenager and divorced her husband shortly after. When Jeff was four years old, Jacqueline married Cuban immigrant Miguel "Mike" Bezos. Mike adopted Jeff and from then on his surname was Bezos. Mike was a disciplined and hardworking man. From him, Jeff learned perseverance, the joy of learning, and the ethics of life. Later, Bezos admitted that Mike was the main inspiration in his life. It was in that family that his love of science, love of technology, and business vision were born, which made him the visionary entrepreneur of Amazon.
Larry Ellison
Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison was born to a 19-year-old woman in New York. He contracted pneumonia soon after birth. Since his mother was unable to raise a child, his aunt Lillian and aunt Louise Ellison adopted him and raised him in Chicago. Lillian was affectionate, and Louise was strict. The simple life and adversity of South Chicago made him self-reliant, determined, and ambitious. At the age of 12, he fully understood that he was an adopted child. He gained strength from the adversity of life, which helped him establish Oracle and build an empire in the technology world. At the age of 48, he met his biological mother for the first time. He has always seen his success as a "victory of self-made people."
These untold stories of Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, and Larry Ellison prove that it is not birth, but upbringing, environment, and struggle that lead a person to the pinnacle of success. Their stories can serve as inspiration for those who want to dream and fight despite adversity.
