One of the most talked about online activists of the present time, Pinaki Bhattacharya's new book 'Fulkumari' is now the focus of discussion among book lovers.
The English title of the book is "Fulkumari: The Tale of a Refugee and a Rat in Pandemic Paris". It has already been ranked as a best seller in Amazon's Historical India and South Asia Biography category.
Author Pinaki Bhattacharya expressed her excitement about the success of the book on her verified Facebook page. She wrote, "The global ranking has increased to 20,714. However, the best seller ranking has dropped from one to two and three. I am feeling the adrenaline rush."
The story of 'Fulkumari' depicts the life of a Bangladeshi refugee living in Paris. The story is set in a fictional relationship he develops with a small mouse in his apartment in a desolate Paris during the pandemic. The refugee names the mouse Phulkumari. He makes an imaginary pact with the mouse and reveals layers of his past by telling it a story every day.
The book is edited by David Salim Sayers. It has already created a lot of discussion on social media.
