The ceasefire to end the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has been extended for the second time until February 18, 2025. Although Israel has failed to complete the withdrawal of troops from southern Lebanon as per the previous agreement, the announcement of this extension has come under the observation of the United States.
In particular, the ceasefire was implemented under the leadership of former US President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron. However, it is still uncertain whether the temporary peace on the border will be permanent.
This situation could have a significant impact on the broader diplomatic and military policy of the Middle East.
