Netanyahu's 'Breach of Trust'? Trump's Intense Displeasure with Israel

Former US President Donald Trump has expressed his intense dissatisfaction with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He reacted angrily to the Israeli attack just hours after the ceasefire with Iran took effect.

Phil Lovell, US correspondent for Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera, said that Trump's language and manner made it clear that he was not only annoyed, but also considered Netanyahu a 'breach of trust'.

Speaking to reporters at the White House before leaving for a NATO summit in Europe, Trump said, "The ceasefire was broken within hours of the announcement. I'm angry at both sides - Iran and Israel."

However, Al Jazeera's Phil Lovell said that while Trump was annoyed at both sides, his anger was particularly directed at Israel. “Trump was clearly upset and felt like Netanyahu had betrayed his trust,” he said.

Sources said Trump called Netanyahu to confirm his support for the ceasefire. He then sought Qatar’s help to get Iran to respond.
