Israel and the United States have launched surprise attacks across Iran since Saturday (February 28). Iran's supreme religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint attack by the two countries. Iranian state media confirmed this information.
In addition, Israel claimed yesterday that Iran's defense minister and the head of the IRGC were also killed in their attack. According to a live BBC report, at least 40 top officials in Iran were killed in the joint attack.
The country's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a statement on Khamenei's death. In the statement, the IRGC announced the launch of the most destructive offensive operation in Iran's history.
The IRGC said that this attack will begin in a few moments. This attack will target occupied territories and American terrorist bases.
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has announced that the operation will continue until the regime changes in Iran. In addition, Israel has named the operation it has launched in Iran 'Lion's Roar'.
