Iran has said that the country is ready to hold new talks if the US lifts sanctions. At the same time, Tehran has called on Washington to stop violating the ceasefire.
Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported this information in a report on Wednesday (April 22).
Iran's UN Ambassador Amir Saeed Iravani said in an interview with the country's media that the US must stop violating the ceasefire before any new talks can begin. He said that the next round of talks could be held in Islamabad if the sanctions are lifted.
At the time, he stressed that Iran is ready for any situation. In the interview, Iravani claimed that their country has never initiated military aggression.
He also said, "If they want a political solution, we are always ready. And if they want war, Iran is ready for that too."
