Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has claimed that it carried out a drone attack on an Israeli military position in southern Lebanon. According to the group, several members of the Israeli forces were killed and injured in the attack.
Hezbollah said in a statement that an explosive-laden drone was used to target Israeli soldiers stationed in southern Lebanon. It was claimed that a loud explosion occurred during the attack and that Israeli soldiers suffered casualties.
A video circulating on social media shows a drone flying at high speed and hitting an Israeli military position. Then a large explosion occurred and a plume of smoke rose into the sky.
Meanwhile, local sources said that the presence of Israeli military forces in the border area of southern Lebanon has been increased over the past week. Along with the deployment of new military vehicles and equipment, the position of the army personnel has also been strengthened. It is feared that the situation is gradually becoming heated.
However, there has been no official comment from the Israeli army on Hezbollah's claim so far. According to analysts, the retaliatory attacks on the border could further escalate the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
