'Get off US roads': Trump administration poster targets Indians

A new anti-immigration campaign poster in the United States has sparked intense controversy. The poster conveys a message to immigrants to "go back to their own countries or be prepared for the consequences." Allegations have also arisen that Indians and South Asians are being targeted through the use of the name "Mr. Singh."
The poster, designed in the style of the popular film series *Transformers*, triggered a massive reaction on social media after its release.
Targeting 'Mr. Singh' in the poster
The controversial poster reads, "Get off our roads. Mr. Singh, you don't know how to drive."
It is alleged that the poster was created with Indian and South Asian immigrants in mind. This has reignited the debate surrounding the immigration crackdown policies of US President Donald Trump's administration.
The US Department of Homeland Security posted a message supporting the poster on its official account on the social media platform X. The department stated that those entering the US with hostile intent would be thwarted.
Additionally, a helpline number for reporting information on illegal immigrants was included in the promotional advertisement.
Allegations of racial profiling
Following the poster's release, the Hindu American Foundation lodged a strong protest. Describing the incident as unjust racial profiling, the organization demanded an FBI investigation.
The organization also called upon Paramount Pictures, the distributor of the popular *Transformers* franchise, to look into the matter.
'A sign of racism and a petty mindset'
Fox 7 News anchor Alec Nola criticized the controversial poster, remarking that it was insulting to people with the surname "Singh."
Citing the history of his own grandfather and great-grandfather working in the US, he condemned the government's campaign as a display of racism and a petty mindset. Financial Incentives for Voluntary Departure
This campaign by the Department of Homeland Security is part of their ‘CBP Home’ program. Under this initiative, undocumented immigrants willing to leave the United States voluntarily are offered an additional $2,600 in addition to coverage for their travel expenses.
Such campaigns and programs have emerged as part of the Trump administration's strict immigration policies.
