Hasanul Haque Inu, President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASD) and former Information Minister, ran down from the court for fear of throwing eggs and shoes. Earlier, the court granted his 7-day remand in the murder case.
On Tuesday (August 27) at 5:54 pm, he ran from the court while going to the bathroom. BNP lawyers threw shoes and eggs at him under the CMM court at 5:10 pm.
When he came down after the remand was granted, there were hundreds of policemen behind him as protocol. Inu had a helmet on his head. At the same time, the policemen who held him were also wearing helmets. After coming down from the court building, he ran across the road for about 50 meters and entered the jail.
Earlier in the afternoon, he was brought to the court and requested to be remanded for 10 days for the sake of proper investigation of the case. After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Haider granted his remand.
Meanwhile, the security of the court area was strengthened from 4 pm on the news that Inu was brought to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court of the capital. At that time, the army members kicked out everyone except lawyers and journalists from the court area. Besides, a large number of members of the police had already taken position in the court area.
