13 accused including 9 ministers have been presented in the tribunal

Thirteen people, including nine former ministers, have been taken to the International Criminal Tribunal for their direct involvement in the July-August genocide and crimes against humanity. Among the 46 people for whom arrest warrants have been issued, this is the first time they have been brought before a tribunal on charges of crimes against humanity.
The 13 accused were brought to the tribunal in a prison van at 10 am on Monday (November 18) under tight security.
The criminals presented are - former minister Anisul Haque, Farooq Khan, Shajahan Khan, Dr. Dipu Moni, Hasanul Haque Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, Junaid Ahmed Palak, Salman F Rahman, Kamal Ahmed Majumdar, Golam Dastgir Gazi, Dr. Taufiq-e-Ilahi Chowdhury, former Home Secretary Jahangir Alam, and retired Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik.
Abdur Razzak was remanded in another case, so he was not produced in the tribunal today.
On October 27, a three-member tribunal bench led by Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Majumder ordered to produce them in view of the inquiry agency's application. The other two members are Justice Md. Shafiul Alam Mahmud and Judge Md. Mohitul Haque Enam Chowdhury.
