Chhayedul Haque Shahin quoted the document and said that on September 18, 2018, around 12:30 pm, Khulna Thana Police from Dhaka came from Hotel Jellico on Sir Iqbal Road in the city. Khalilur Rahman Sarkar and MA Hasnat Mithu were arrested and taken away. Later, SI Tipu Sultan filed a case under Special Powers Act against Khalilur Rahman and Hasnat Mithu and unknown 30/35 persons as plaintiffs, bearing No-32. On July 31, 2019, the investigating officer of the case, SI Gopinath filed a charge sheet against Nazrul Islam Manju and 31 people in the government court.
Nazrul Islam Manju, the former president of Mahanagara BNP, said that since the last 15/16 years, the dictatorial Sheikh Hasina government has been torturing BNP and opposition with disappearance cases, conspiracy cases, false and harassing cases. Millions of leaders and workers of the party did not leave the streets after enduring the persecution of the fascist government. The people of the country have been freed since Sheikh Hasina fled the country on August 5. Today's judgment proves that power cannot be sustained by assault-cases and oppression-torture.
