Tuku-Palak-Saikat remand application for 10 days

Former Deputy Speaker Shamsul Haque Tuku, former ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak and Chhatra League's Dhaka University General Secretary Tanveer Hasan Saikat have been arrested in connection with the murder of a rickshaw puller in the capital's Paltan. Each of these three has been remanded for 10 days for the investigation of the case.
On Thursday (August 15), Paltan Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sentu Mia said, these three will be brought to court after noon.
Earlier on Wednesday (August 14) night, these three were arrested while hiding from Nikunj residential area of Khilkhet police station of the capital.
After their arrest, they were taken to the DB office at Minto Road in the capital.
