Ferry service suspended from capital to 6 destinations: BIWTA

The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has announced the suspension of shipping to six destinations from the capital due to adverse weather conditions in the coastal region.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued three local warning signals at sea ports due to adverse weather conditions.
BIWTA said in a press release that due to heavy rolling in the river in the coastal region, the waterways from Dhaka to Hatia, Dhaka to Betua, Dhaka to Khepupara, Dhaka to Charmontaj, Dhaka to Rangabali and Dhaka to Manpura will remain closed till further orders.
