Tuesday afternoon in the office of the Chief Justice when the demand for the resignation of the President was strengthened, at that moment the Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refat Ahmed met with the legal adviser. Asif Nazrul and Information Advisor Nahid Islam held a closed door meeting. Although several sources of the Supreme Court confirmed the meeting, Legal Advisor Asif Nazrul avoided the meeting with the Chief Justice.
After visiting the International Criminal Tribunal on Wednesday (October 23) morning, when asked by reporters about the meeting, he avoided it. At that time, housing advisor Adilur Rahman Khan and chief prosecutor Tajul Islam were with him. However, regarding the building of the tribunal, the legal advisor said that between 1 and 3 November, the trial can be started in the main building of the tribunal.
Meanwhile, multiple sources of the Supreme Court said that two advisers of the interim government had a closed-door meeting with the Chief Justice for more than half an hour. The meeting discussed the issue of resignation of the President and also discussed who will be the next President if the President resigns. After the meeting with the two advisers, the Chief Justice also held a meeting with the IGP, RAB DG and DMP Commissioner.
