It is important to clarify the reason for anger against the media before the people: Nahid Islam

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting's advisor Nahid Islam has called for clarifying the anger that has arisen among the people towards the media. He made these comments while talking to journalists at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
Nahid Islam said, "People have become angry with various media outlets. It is necessary to clarify to the people why this anger has arisen. However, if any media office is vandalized, the government will look into it."
He said that the people are not getting proper cooperation from the media as per their expectations. Many established media outlets still spread false news and rumors, which is creating confusion in the public mind.
Nahid Islam said, "The interim government will ensure the necessary environment to ensure media freedom. However, it is the decision of the newsrooms themselves to take action against the fascist accomplices within the media. Instead of an immediate solution, the solution is to accept the truth and move towards national reconciliation."
He further mentioned that not everything will be ignored by accusing it of conspiracy. However, the responsibility of the media in establishing the truth must be ensured.
Nahid Islam assured that the government is taking appropriate initiatives to deal with the current situation. He said,
"A movement can arise from anger. However, if there is a violation of law and order, it will be strictly observed. We do not want the police to open fire like before. However, the police will play a strict role to prevent chaos. For this, the process of restructuring the police force is underway."
Nahid Islam called for restoring trust by uncovering the real reasons for the people's anger towards the media and explaining it. He believes that the establishment of truth and national unity is possible with the right role of the media and the government's initiatives.
