10 Truck Arms: Lutfuzzaman acquitted in another case too!

The High Court has acquitted five people including former State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfuzzaman Babar, who was sentenced to life in the much-discussed 10 Truck Arms case.
On Tuesday, a High Court bench headed by Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice Nasrin Akhter gave the verdict. Deputy Attorney General Sultana Akhter Ruby and Assistant Attorney General Md. Asif Imran Zisan were present in the court for the state. On the other hand, senior lawyer SM Shahjahan and lawyer Shishir Monir were present for the hearing on behalf of the accused.
This was the verdict in another case filed on December 18 last year in the same incident, where Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice Nasrin Akhter gave the verdict and acquitted six people including Babar from the death penalty.
