It was compulsory for me to be involved in Chhatra League politics while staying in Dhaka University (DU) hall, said Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the National Citizen Committee. He said this at the 'Concert for Youth' program organized by the District Anti-Discrimination Student Movement at Panchagarh Stadium on Saturday night.
Sarjis Alam said, "We have a special feature. We were all residential students at Dhaka University. We were compulsory for me to be involved in Chhatra League politics while staying in Dhaka University hall. Whenever we got the opportunity, we broke that chain and fought bravely from July 1 to 15 at Dhaka University and Shahbagh."
The chief organizer of the National Citizens' Committee further said, "If we start a new fight for the future of Panchagarh with the young generation, a fight in which there will be no personal interests, no party interests, but the interests of the people of Panchagarh will come first. If we can fight this fight unitedly, then in the future, Panchagarh, which is said to be the most backward district, will be the most progressive district of Bangladesh."
