Relief in the New Year: Diesel, petrol, octane and kerosene prices reduced by 2 taka per liter

The government has given relief news to consumers in the New Year. The new price of fuel oil has been announced for the month of January 2026, where the prices of diesel, petrol, octane and kerosene have been reduced by 2 taka per liter.
According to the new decision, the price of diesel has been reduced from 104 taka to 102 taka per liter, octane from 124 taka to 122 taka, petrol from 120 taka to 118 taka and kerosene from 116 taka to 114 taka.
According to the government gazette issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, this new price rate will be effective from January 1, 2026. This reduction in the price of fuel oil is expected to have a positive impact on transportation costs and prices of daily necessities.
