Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has specifically instructed the ministers and state ministers to be restrained while speaking to the media or meetings. He said, one should try to win people's hearts by speaking in moderate language. People are angry with the government on various issues. As a result, cabinet members have to be more flexible in speaking as representatives of the government. Apart from this, he told them to move safely in the coming days. Such information was obtained from the source of the meeting.
After almost a month, a Cabinet meeting was held at the Prime Minister's Office on Monday under his chairmanship. Over two hundred people were killed in sudden nationwide violence amid the quota reform movement. According to the government, this number is 150. Analysts see the statements of some government officials as an incitement behind the peaceful movement of quota reform turning into violence. Realizing the matter, the Prime Minister has already explained his statement. He is now also sternly reminding his cabinet members to exercise caution in giving speeches.
Outside the agenda of the meeting, the issue of agitation and violence happening across the country and the killing of common people was discussed seriously. Almost all the ministers-state ministers and secretaries of all the ministries were present in the meeting. However, the secretaries were not present during the political discussion in the meeting. Addressing the Ministers and State Ministers, the Prime Minister said that you should keep in constant contact with the party leaders and workers in your respective areas. Give them protection. Send them the message that things will be normal.
