Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulates Tarique Rahman

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman for his historic victory in the 13th parliamentary elections.
He made the congratulatory remarks in a post on his verified Facebook page at 9:37 am on Friday.
Modi's post said, "I extend my warmest congratulations to Mr. Tarique Rahman for leading the BNP to a landslide victory in the Bangladesh parliamentary elections. This victory is a reflection of the confidence of the people of Bangladesh in your leadership."
He also mentioned, "India will stand by you in support of a democratic, progressive and inclusive Bangladesh. I look forward to working with you to strengthen our multifaceted relations and achieve common development goals."
