BNP Secretary General said, today has destroyed the economy, destroyed the politics. All in all, they have destroyed the country and left. Today, the nation and the country were freed from this horrible demonic hand. I would like to thank the patriotic army. They have stepped in at the right time today. They have called all our political parties here (Banga Bhavan) to discuss the steps. He also brought the main student leaders of the movement and spoke. They talked to the President and decided on some basic issues. Meanwhile, parliament will be dissolved and an interim government will be formed immediately, Begum Khaleda Zia will be released immediately.
Along with that, all the activists, student leaders who have been unjustly detained since July 1, will be released. All those people who have been unjustly imprisoned will be freed.
He said that it has been decided that all political parties will work to control the situation that has arisen after Hasina's escape, especially the law and order situation that has arisen. Student leaders will work. I want to appeal to the countrymen, let us achieve a great thing and success. To hold on to that success, so that it does not flow in the other direction, we exercise self-restraint. So that we do not attack out of anger, hatred and revenge. Do not harm any organization. Begum Khaleda Zia appeals to you to be patient and calm. Protect the country and nation. Make the initiative taken today a success.
Mirza Fakhrul said that BNP Acting Chairman Tariq Rahman was unjustly deported abroad with a false case. He has fully cooperated in this movement at all times. And this is leading the anti-fascist movement. We have taken all measures to bring him back to the country immediately. We will succeed, God willing.
He said, I have been struggling and fighting against this dictatorial government for almost 16 years. BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was unjustly sentenced and sent to jail. Thousands of our leaders and activists have been unjustly sentenced and jailed. They filed false cases against our nearly 60 lakh leaders and activists and carried out unspeakable torture and persecution. This Sheikh Hasina was in charge of various departments in the government.
