Harun-al-Rashid's last farewell at the South Plaza of the Parliament

The funeral prayer of former State Minister and BNP Vice Chairman Harun-al-Rashid was held at the South Plaza of the National Parliament Building. Political leaders, members of parliament, government officials and people from different walks of life participated in the funeral prayer held on Friday.
The funeral prayer was led by Imam Qari Md. Abu Raihan, the presiding Imam of the National Parliament Secretariat. Earlier, a brief biography of the deceased was read out. The Speaker of the National Parliament, Deputy Speaker, cabinet members, members of parliament and leaders of various political parties were present at the event.
In their speeches before the funeral, the speakers highlighted Harun-al-Rashid's political life, parliamentary activities and public service contributions. They said that he worked for the welfare of the people during his long political life and played an important role in the democratic progress of the country. The speakers also remembered his honesty, leadership qualities and political wisdom.
It is worth noting that Harun-al-Rashid died on Thursday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital. His death cast a shadow of grief over the political arena. After the funeral, prayers were offered for the departed soul and deep condolences were expressed to the bereaved family.
