Bangladesh provides $1 million in aid to flood-hit Nepal

Bangladesh stands by Nepal, which has been devastated by sudden and severe floods and landslides. Bangladesh has provided a $1 million grant to support the country's ongoing relief, recovery and humanitarian efforts.
The money has been given to the Nepal Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund. Bangladesh decided to provide this grant as part of its humanitarian assistance after the country suffered extensive damage and loss of life in the recent severe floods and landslides.
Handover of Prime Minister's letter to Nepalese Ambassador
On Thursday (September 3), State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir handed over a letter written by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to Nepalese Prime Minister Balendra Shah at the State Guest House Padma.
At the time, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs informed the Nepalese Ambassador about the $1 million financial assistance provided by the Bangladesh government for Nepal's relief and humanitarian efforts.
Nepal devastated by severe floods and landslides
The recent severe floods and landslides have caused extensive damage in various areas of Nepal. In addition to the loss of life, many people have been affected and various structures and infrastructure have been damaged.
